I finally sang my first Pamina on Saturday, my role and house debut at the @staatstheatersaarland 🥳 It is a moment I have been waiting and preparing for for years, and I am so happy with how it went! I must have sung “Ach, ich fühl’s” a thousand times, but it feels completely different when you sing it to an actual Tamino, and I mean, what a Tamino @taejun.sun 🤩🤩 Four more shows to go and I cannot wait! Unexpected debut! 🤯 Last Friday I made my debut at the @pfalztheater as Madame in Weinberg’s Wir Gratulieren, after only one short week of rehearsals 🥵! I jumped in for the wonderful Arminia Friebe (Gute Besserung!) : it was very challenging, but I’m so glad the show was a huge success! This is BY FAR the meanest role I’ve ever played… and honestly? It was a lot of fun 😬😈 I also shared in my stories that sending a simple email to theaters around Saarbrücken directly led to this contract. Hearing from friends and colleagues that it inspired them to do the same makes me sooo happy! Aaaand… Los geht’s!! First day of school (+1 week 🤓)! Back to work after a wonderfully relaxing summer 😇 I’m super excited to get to know a new theater @staatstheatersaarland and a new city @saarbruecken.de, where I still feel very much like a tourist! I’m still unpacking boxes and giving some furniture a little makeover (more on that soon in my stories 😎), all while already getting coachings for Pamina, and for the Theaterfest and the big gala this Sunday (August 31st)! That’s the positive stuff that happened to me, but of course there were also some pretty tough moments: failed auditions, not making the cut in competitions, changing my technique a lot and feeling super vulnerable...
